The practice we wished existed

Treating children across Atlanta, founder Heather Hamilton, M.S., CCC-SLP, kept seeing the same pattern: families with every resource, unable to find speech therapy that was both clinically serious and genuinely human. Big clinics ran on volume. Insurance dictated care. Parents left evaluations more confused than they arrived.

In 2011 she built TALK as the answer: a boutique practice where a small team of master’s-level clinicians carries thoughtful caseloads, holds itself to continuing-education standards beyond what licensure requires, and takes the stress out of the therapy process, starting with the very first phone call. Fifteen years later, it still runs exactly that way, and the field has noticed: Georgia State University invites Heather back every year to lecture to the next generation of speech-language pathologists, TALK has been named a Best of Atlanta winner multiple times, and both Heather and Clare hold ASHA’s ACE Award for continuing education beyond what licensure requires.

Our Miami Circle office was designed for children and the adults who love them: private, calm, and unmistakably un-clinical. Comfortable spaces to wait and work, and therapy rooms children ask to come back to.

Our mission

Every child has something to say. We exist to clear whatever stands in the way, from a single stubborn sound to a word-finding struggle to a motor-planning misfire, so each child can reach their fullest self.

Rigor

Gold-standard assessment, evidence-based methods, progress measured and reported. Seasoned clinicians only: we have never hired a new graduate, because every child deserves experienced hands from the very first session.

Warmth

Children who look forward to sessions. Parents who feel heard from the first call.

Candor

Honest answers about diagnosis, duration, fees, and fit, even when the answer is “you don’t need us.”
